He is the Co-founder and President of TEC Biosciences Inc., a biotechnology startup located in Lexington, KY, that is developing a novel metabolomics testing platform for use in diagnosing chronic disease. Dr. Bright successfully led the launch of three product lines conducting high-complexity tests for customers in the academic research, clinical, and hemp industries. Additionally, Dr. Bright is the Co-founder and CFO of Novoron Bioscience, Inc., a biotechnology startup located in San Diego, CA, developing a therapeutic molecule capable of regenerating damaged neurons in spinal cord injury and multiple sclerosis. As CFO of Novoron, Dr. Bright is accelerating commercialization of ground-breaking neuro-regenerative technology.

Chase Kempinski, PhD

Dr. Kempinski holds a PhD in plant physiology from the University of Kentucky (2016), an MS from West Virginia University (2011), and a BS from West Virginia University (2008).

He is Vice-President of Research at TEC Biosciences Inc. and Co-founder and President at Enepret, LLC. Dr. Kempinski successfully led the spin-out of Enepret from the University of Kentucky in 2018 in an effort to commercialize a novel chemical production platform utilizing yeast that he developed during his dissertation. Dr. Kempinski joined TECbio in 2018 in order to accelerate the launch of TECbio’s clinical testing suite of products.

Patrick Sullivan, PhD

Dr. Sullivan holds a PhD from the University of Kentucky in Anatomy and Neurobiology (2000) and a BS in Biology from the University of Kentucky (1996). He is currently a Professor of Neuroscience and Endowed Chair in the Spinal Cord & Brain Injury Research Center at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center

Extraction

We use cryogenic ethanol extraction because it is effective, efficient, and safe for both extraction staff and the customer. To begin, chilled ethanol is circulated over dried cannabis material to isolate cannabinoids, terpenes, and phytonutrients. A centrifuge then separates the now, cannabinoid-rich ethanol from the remaining biomass. This process extracts the desired cannabinoids at low temperature and low pressure, creating a more natural and pure final product.

Third-Party Testing

Not all CBD is created equal. At Meonist, we only want the best of the best. To ensure our product meets our standards, we use third party testing for all of our products. The purpose of third party lab testing is to have a neutral, unbiased source test and analyze the content and quality of a company’s CBD products.

FAQs

What is the suggested usage for CBD oil and/ or other products?

As with any health & wellness supplement, we recommend a “start low and go slow” approach for both humans and pets. Below are our recommended usage instructions for our most popular products.

Oils – Start with 1/2 dropper of oil under the tongue once in the morning and once in the evening for adults. For best results, hold the oil under the tongue for 30 seconds before swallowing. Increase to 1 full dropper, as needed.

What is CBD?

CBD, or cannabidiol, is a chemical compound extracted from the cannabis plant. It’s a naturally occurring molecule that has many health benefits, but it doesn’t have any of the psychoactive effects of THC, which people commonly think of in relation to the cannabis plant.

Is CBD legal?

Yes, the United States Farm Bill of 2018 classified plants containing less than 0.3% THC as industrial hemp, making CBD legal in all 50 states. At Medonist, our CBD products are produced under a license from the Kentucky Department of Agriculture’s Industrial Hemp Research Program and can be shipped directly to your door.

What is the difference between complete hemp extract & THC-free CBD products?
Our complete hemp extract (full spectrum) CBD oil contains a full range of beneficial plant extracts — including a very small percentage (<0.3%) of THC — which work together to produce lasting effects when interacting with the endocannabinoid system. Such products, including our CBD oil, lotion, and balm, can be used to assist with the management of a wide array of ailments.[/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title="What are Cannabinoids?" _builder_version="4.23.1" global_colors_info="{}" open="off"]

Cannabinoids are the chemical compounds found in the Cannabis sativa (hemp) plant. There are around 104 chemical compounds or cannabinoids in the plant.

Will Medonist complete hemp extract CBD products cause me to fail a drug test?

In general no, however, as with all hemp products, the chance exists that a positive test for THC could be triggered. Full-spectrum CBD products should only have a very small percentage (<0.3%) of THC, however, unregulated products on the market may contain higher amounts of THC than advertised, making it very important to choose a product, like Wild Health, with strict quality protocols and third-party testing. Complete hemp extract CBD products have a very small percentage (<0.3%) of THC. In theory, if someone consumes large amounts, such as over 1,000 mg of CBD for several days in a row they could potentially accumulate enough THC to cause a sensitive test to read positive. To put that amount into perspective, that would be 2 full 500mg bottles per day. Just like O’Doul’s (near-beer) won’t get you intoxicated, it still has a very small amount of alcohol in it (0.4% compared to 4% for normal beer). If a positive test for THC is a concern, we recommend trying Wild Health’s THC free CBD oil which contains no detectable amount of THC.

How do I store my Medonist products? What is their shelf life?

The shelf life of all Medonist products is two years. That said, Medonist products do not “spoil” so long as you keep the product lid closed tightly to avoid exposing it to oxygen which will, eventually, oxidize the carrier oil, which in this case is pure C8 (caprylic acid). You don’t have to do anything magical to preserve the cannabidiol (CBD) in Medonist products. Simply store your Medonist products at room temperature, away from high heat and direct sunlight. And, as we said earlier, keep the lid closed when not using your product.
